It's the most wonderful time of the year so here at Amington Band, we'd like to wish you a very Happy Christmas!
With the big day just around the corner, you'll probably see us out and about playing Christmas carols with our trusty collection tins dotted around, and we just wanted to say thank you for your donations and explain where they go!
Like many other brass bands, our players don't get paid to play - we all do it for the love of it - but there are plenty of other things the band does have to pay for in order to keep going. There are instruments to be maintained, music to be bought, room rentals for rehearsals and venues to hold our concerts - the list goes on! Of course, we do make some money from bookings but it's your generous donations that really make all the difference.
Your donations allow us to keep our players blowing and the music flowing. It's your donations that mean that we can keep putting on free concerts in our band room so that everyone has the chance to enjoy our music.
